BioLPG LLC was founded in 2021 by Kimball Chen, former President of the World LPG Association, and John Hauge, former CFO of the Inter-American Development Bank. It is a privately-held US corporation focused on developing the potential of bioLPG worldwide outside Africa.

A BioLPG LLC affiliate, The Global LPG Partnership (GLPGP), is a UN and EU-backed NGO which partners with Global South nations to plan, finance and implement national use of LPG to transition households to clean energy. GLPGP has the mandate to develop bioLPG potential in Africa.

BioLPG LLC and GLPGP are leaders in progressing the IEA goal of delivering LPG access at scale for clean cooking in coming decades. Their green LPG technology development partnership with the famous energy solutions institute, Chicago-based GTI Energy, was established to create the evidence-based critical mass of scientific and commercial capability that could enable the crucial LPG sector to align with global decarbonization objectives.
